Paris 2012: Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 facelifted for 2013, new LP570-4 Edizione Tecnica introduced

Yesterday’s teaser left us wondering whether Lamborghini will bring a new or refreshed Gallardo to Paris. It’s the latter. The firm’s most successful model has been facelifted for 2013 with new front and rear end designs.

The Gallardo LP560-4′s new face is characterised by triangular and trapezoidal forms – two shapes frequently used by Sant’Agata. Divided by diagonal elements in body color and in black, the overall look is broader and more forceful, giving it “an even stronger bond with the road.”

To complete the new look, air intakes have been enlarged and there are new 19-inch “Apollo polished” alloys, painted in matte black and featuring precision-machined spokes in polished silver.

The triangles and trapezoids are repeated at the back, where the air outlet for the engine now has now a wider surface area for better thermodynamic efficiency. The optional Style Package offers high-gloss black paintwork on the underside of the front spoiler, front and rear grilles and the transverse element of the rear trim.

There’s also a new LP570-4 Edizione Tecnica version that can be had with top models in the Gallardo line-up, the LP570-4 Superleggera and LP570-4 Spyder Performante.

Edizione Tecnica brings improved equipment levels and an even more individual look. Features include the fixed high rear wing, carbon-ceramic brakes and three new exclusive optional colour combinations where the roof arch and front air intakes are painted in a contrasting colour.

The available shades are Nero Nemesis (matte black) body with Arancio Argos (orange) pillars and front air intakes, Bianco Canopus (matte white) body with Arancio Argos, and Arancio Argos with Nero Nemesis accents.

In addition, all new Gallardo models can be customised to a virtually limitless degree with Lamborghini’s “Ad Personam” programme.
